Terri Preece Obituary

Terri E. Preece (Clark) - of Corinth, who was deeply treasured by her family, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2024 after a short but brave battle with cancer. Free of pain now, her spirit can fly in the depth of sunshine like the butterflies she adored. How lucky we are to have loved someone so special, that it makes saying good-bye so hard. Her love will live in our hearts forever, so she can be with us everyday.

Born on January 20, 1955 In Saratoga Springs, N.Y., she was the daughter to the late Joseph C. & Selma M. Clark.

Terri was not shy of hard work and had an eclectic resume spanning many years with Target Corp, The ARC, and Wesley Nursing home. She loved helping people, and always had a nice story to share. She was passionate about being outside with nature and was an avid bird watcher. So much so, a hummingbird had been known to land on her shoulder on several occasions. She had a knack for being crafty and was a great cook in her day. She was most comfortable being at home with her longtime canine companion, Sai. He sadly passed away a few weeks before she did. He was a wonderful dog and will be missed.

When Terri was able, she volunteered with the local Food Pantry & Meals On Wheels program.  Along with Estherville Animal Shelter because she enjoyed being with all the furry friends.

Loved and Survived by her daughter: Doreen & her husband, Paul and grandchildren: Casey, Elise & Alex.  And her daughter: Sara & her husband Rob and grandchildren: Delaney, Charlotte, Finley & Caleb.

She was deeply cherished by her grandchildren, and they will miss her very much.

She will be remembered by her brothers: Joseph C & Michael K. Clark, their wives, along with many special nieces & nephews.

She will also be missed by a large extended family & many friends she made along the way, all of whom she held dear. Even if she didn't get to say so.

We want to send a warm thank you to the many exceptional nurses of unit A3 who took care of our Mom at Saratoga Hospital. Especially those with us in the heartbreaking final hours. We appreciate you.

As she lived a simple life, her wishes for her end of life were the same. At her request, she will be cremated and a small celebration of life will be planned for the spring where her immediate family will release butterflies in her memory.  At this difficult time, no other details are available, until we process and navigate this more.

Please send your love to Terri by posting a message here with Compassionate Care Funeral Home, where we know she will feel it, as we know she is all around us...

In Lieu of Flowers, please feel free to donate to a local animal shelter of your choice. She would think that was nice.
