Jennifer E. Ladd

Jennifer E. Ladd, age 52, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024, at her home in Porter Corners, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on January 28, 1972, in Saratoga Springs, NY, to Susan Covell Kilburn and the late Gerald L. Kilburn.

Jennifer dedicated many years of her life as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her compassionate nature and dedication to helping others left a lasting impact on those she served.

Outside of her professional life, Jennifer found immense joy in spending time outdoors, particularly camping at Moreau Lake and the Fourth Lake campgrounds with her family and friends. She had a passion for travel and cherished moments shared with loved ones, but her greatest devotion was to her beloved pets: Ivy, Evie, Spunky, and Sky.

Jennifer is survived by her devoted husband, Walter Ladd; her loving mother, Susan L. Kilburn; her cherished daughter, Katelynn Fitzgerald (Matt Cooper); her dear brother, Gerald L. Kilburn, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will deeply miss her presence.

She is preceded in death by her father, Gerald L. Kilburn, Sr.; her grandparents, Frank & Lydia Covell, Elmer & Theresa Kilburn; her Aunt Jeannie Whitten; her uncles, Frank and Walter Covell; and her great-niece, Aviana VanDusen.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY.  Family and friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Hospice staff for their compassionate care of Jennifer during her illness. They also extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone for their love, support, and prayers during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saratoga Community Hospice, 179 Lawrence St, Saratoga Springs, NY in Jennifer's memory.  The family has kindly requested no floral arrangements.

Jennifer will be dearly missed but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
