Carl E. Bull, Sr. peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born on August 18, 1931, to the late Clarence and Grace Clute Bull, now reunited with them in eternal peace. Carl attended Saratoga Springs High School and proudly graduated in 1950. Following his education, he served his country in the US Army from 1951 to 1954, exemplifying honor and dedication.
On June 5, 1954, he joyously united in marriage with Marjorie A. Porter, his cherished companion with whom he had three wonderful children and they shared countless adventures, particularly their passion for travel. Carl embarked on a fulfilling career in various telephone companies until his well-deserved retirement.
Their love for camping fostered many cherished memories with family and friends, enriching their lives with friendship and laughter. An avid outdoorsman, Carl found solace in the beauty of nature, reveling in hunting and fishing pursuits.
He is preceded in death by his son, Carl E. Bull, Jr., and siblings Lydia Covell, Jean Bush, LD Bull, Gifford Bull, Fred Bull, and Harold Bull.
Carl leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by his beloved wife, Marjorie Bull; devoted son, Curt Bull (Mary); loving daughter, Michelle Beckley (Kenneth); sister, Lillian Bull; grandchildren, Amber Largeaud (Jeremie), Carlton Bull (Rebecca), April Beckley, Derek Bull, and Cassandra Bull; and the light of his life, great-grandchildren Elizabeth Bull, Elliot Largeaud, and Heloise Largeaud, along with numerous friends who will forever cherish his memory.
A funeral service honoring Carl's life will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY. Prior to the service, calling hours will be observed from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Following the service, a graveside ceremony with military honors will take place at Maplewood Cemetery, located at the corner of Weibel Road and Louden Road, Saratoga Springs, NY, commemorating Carl's service to his country.
