Katherine Patterson

Katherine Patterson, 68, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 27, 1955, in Saratoga Springs, NY, daughter of the late Ygnacio Ballestero, Colleen Ernst and stepfather, Victor Ernst.

Katherine dedicated many years to administration at Saratoga Bridges, where she made a significant impact. Her passion for crafts, coupled with her unwavering commitment to UMI Medical Supply and Saratoga Bridges, brought joy to those around her. Katherine had a zest for life, finding immense pleasure in her travels to various destinations.

She leaves behind her brother, Donald Ernst; her twin sister, Kathleen Doubleday; her special friend, David Kreski; sisters-in-law, Maureen McCormick (Steve), Colleen Ball (Jim); brothers-in-law, Matt Patterson (Colleen), Bob Patterson (Joanna) of Florida, Jerry Patterson (Jeanne) of Georgia; nieces and nephews, Theo Doubleday (Mollie), Camille Leak (Jeremy), Alicia Doubleday, Alison Ernst, Kate Ernst, and Matt Fortune; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Jacob, Ayden, Collan, Nash, and Grady.  Additionally, Katherine will be fondly remembered by numerous other nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends who were touched by her kindness and grace.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward C. Patterson, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY. Calling hours will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Katherine will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871, in a graveside service at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April 22, 2024.
